Wallet-friendly LG K12+ could make an appearance at MWC 2019

Come MWC 2019, it’s safe to assume that LG will most likely be unveiling the LG G8 ThinQ where some of the high-end features we can expect include a sound-on display and a ToF 3D front-facing camera. We also expect that with flagships, it will not come cheap, so in case you don’t have the cash to splash, not to worry as LG might have some more affordable options for its customers as well.According to a leaked shared by TigerMobiles, it appears that LG could be launching some budget handsets at MWC 2019 as well, one of which is the LG K12+. If this model sounds familiar, it is because in 2018, the company launched the LG K11+, so the K12+ launched in 2019 doesn’t seem like a stretch of the imagination. In terms of its specs, assuming the leak on TigerMobiles is accurate, we’re looking at the use of a MediaTek MT6762 chipset where it will come with as much as 3GB of RAM. We’re also looking at a display with a 1440×720 resolution and a Pixel density of 280 DPI, which could possibly mean that the phone might have a 5.8-inch screen. It will also run on Android 8.1 Oreo, which is admittedly a bit disappointing given that we’re in 2019 and we would expect Android 9.0 Pie at the very least. There is no mention of the cameras on the phone or other features like security, but given that the LG K11+ was a budget phone, we probably shouldn’t expect high-end features like facial recognition or in-display fingerprint sensors in the LG K12+ either. Take this leak with a grain of salt for now, but we should have the official details in the coming weeks once MWC 2019 kicks off.Source: GSMArena
